OVU Church Relations Holds Bible Class Teacher Training Workshop Aug. 4

VIENNA, WV -- Ohio Valley University’s Church Relations department will present an area-wide Bible class teacher training workshop, Saturday, August 4 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on OVU’s main campus.
The workshop is hosted in conjunction with the nationally-known Christian Education Association in Fort Worth, Texas. The day-long event will consist of intense and practical workshop sessions that have been developed especially for today’s Bible class teachers. From adults and ladies classes, to teens and infants, there will be something on the schedule for everyone.
“Not long after I accepted the position of director of church relations, one of my first goals was to begin to develop ways Ohio Valley University could serve as a regional resource and strengthen the many churches in our region,” OVU Director of Church Relations Tom Butterfield said.
The workshop will focus on the following topics: - Do babies really learn as newborns? - Creation and God Made Me - Jesus Loves the Children and “The Boy Who Shared” - Keeping Up with Preschoolers - Stones: Examining What Young People are Building Their Lives Upon - The Journey to Excellence: Planning your route - The Journey to Excellence: Avoiding roadblocks - The Journey to Excellence: Who’s in the driver’s seat?
