Tuesday, July 31, 2007
VIENNA, WV – The College of Professional Studies at Ohio Valley University will host a series of open house events in August geared toward adult learners interested in completing accelerated degrees.
“The open house events are designed to give potential students an overview of the program structure, have their questions answered and provide an opportunity to meet with other prospective students,” OVU College of Professional Studies Director of Operations Eric Miller said.
Open houses are scheduled for Tuesday, August 7 and Thursday, August 9 from 7-9 p.m. and Saturday, August 11 from 9-11 a.m. in the former Fox Dining Hall located on the college’s south campus off of College Parkway in Vienna.
Miller also indicated that financial aid, educational requirements, College Level Examination Program (CLEP tests), and credit for prior learning opportunities for participants will be covered at each event.
“Now is the time for adult learners, who are interested in going back to school to complete or add a degree, to enroll,” Miller said. “The bachelor’s degree completion cohort meets on either Tuesday or Thursday evenings for 18 months from 6-10 p.m. Saturday classes also allow students to complete an Associates degree in one calendar year with courses offered on Saturdays from 8-noon and 1-5 p.m.”
