CEO of NTS Communications, Inc. Featured Keynote Speaker at 46th OVU Commencement May 5

VIENNA, WV – Ohio Valley University will celebrate its 46th annual commencement Saturday, May 5, at 10 a.m. at the OVU Alumni Gymnasium located on the main campus.
OVU will recognize a total of 130 graduates. OVU’s commencement ceremony will feature keynote speaker Barbara Andrews, president and chief executive officer for NTS Communications, Inc. in Lubbock, Texas. Andrews’ message is titled “Keep On Keeping On."
A leader in her profession, Andrews has served as president of NTS Communications, Inc. since 1994 and a member of its board of directors since 1991. Her career at NTS Communications, Inc. spans more than 23 years, where she has been directly responsible for the company’s sales and marketing, management information systems, customer service and account administration. An active member of the Lubbock community, Andrews serves on Lubbock’s Family Business and Leadership Development Forum and the Chief Executive Roundtable at the Rawls College of Business at Texas Tech University. She is also a major supporter of the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
Andrews earned a B.B.A. and M.B.A. in business administration from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas.
“Barbara is an exceptional lady,” OVU President Dr. James A. Johnson said. “She will present an interesting and inspirational personal story to our 2007 graduates that demonstrates how one remains true to their personal convictions and faith – despite success of failure in life - and how they can achieve their dreams in any field.”
"I am very honored at being chosen to speak at this years' commencement ceremony,” Andrews said. “I hope that my personal story of perseverance will both inspire and encourage this year’s graduating class. I am also looking forward to visiting the Mid-Ohio Valley."
