OVU Hosts Customer Service Seminar

VIENNA, WV—Ohio Valley University, in partnership with Mountain State BlueCross BlueShield, will co-host a seminar entitled “Legendary Customer Service” on June 29, 2006, from 8:30 a.m. to Noon at Fox Hall on the university’s South Campus, OVU President James A. Johnson has announced.

The seminar is open to the public and the cost is $50 per person, which also includes a continental breakfast. Seating is limited and registration is required.

The event will be led by Dr. T. Richard Cheatham and will feature segments such as “The Ten Fundamentals of Legendary Service,” “The Eight Deadly Sins of Customer Service,” “Why Customers Leave,” and “Calculating Your Lifetime Customer Value (LCV).”

Dr. Cheatham has published more than 30 articles, has co-authored two textbooks and is the owner of Applied Communications Seminars, a consultancy that serves business and industry in the areas of customer relations, team building, effective communication and change management.

The workshop will focus on identifying the four basic customer types, listening to customers, holding everyone in the organization accountable for customer service, ignoring customers and telephone techniques for better customer service.
